Build Your Own Wicked WordPress Themes
Update: the book will be out in early August, and will be titled “Build Your Own Wicked WordPress Themes.”
I’m honestly not sure what I can say just yet, but, a couple months ago, I was asked by the SitePoint guys to contribute two chapters to an upcoming web development book — hopefully to be released within the next few months. It seems that, similar to “jQuery Cookbook,” they decided to have multiple authors contribute to the book — probably around 4-6 total. Anyhow, I’m not sure if I’m allowed to say anything, except that the subject matter is one that Nettuts+ readers are well familiar with!
Actually, this will be my first published “in stores” book (well, 20% mine); so that’s exciting!
Congrats! Looking forward to hearing more about it!
you should consider writing book, becouse watching video is not a good learning way some time, books are always better, because we use to do that during in our educations..
dont think so, if video with sub tittle is better than video and book.
if wanna take away and learn while at public area like in train, bus. then book better.
sometime video make more easy too.
and Congrats to jeffrey way!
Visited your blog after long time, needless to say the new design is awesome.
@Akshay – Thanks. I’m not much of a designer — which is why this is super, super simple.
Jut one thing though… Your RSS feed seems to have a problem. I didn’t see this article come up in Google Reader…
Hmm – I’ll take a look. It’s showing up in the feed – http://jeffrey-way.com/feed/rss/ – but there might be some other problem. This site was quickly hacked together, so it still needs a lot of cleaning up. Haven’t even looked at it in IE.
Ahh – the joy of personal sites, and saying “screw you IE.”
That sounds cool Jeffrey!
I like the new look of your site,
.
Congrats!
Jeffrey,
I am relatively new to web design. Been a print/logo designer for darn near 6 years now, but I only started learning web design about a month ago. I recently launched a site ( http://thedigitalyardsale.com ). It’s my first completely from scratch WordPress site. I’d be honored if you could take some time to take a look at it and tell me how amateur I really am. I collected as much info on the subject as I could get my hands on ( NetTuts and various other tutorials ).
Sorry to leave this message in a comment. At least it has a little bit to do with the book (WordPress)
Thanks
-Nick
Keep up the work Jeffrey! Your awesome!
Looking forward for it
